Senior Project Post # 1

Today I drove to Laconia Municipal Airport and trained for three hours. I started with weather briefings from Aviation Weather Center which is a government run aviation weather service. I then flew with an instructor for .9 hours and primarily worked on soft/short field takeoffs and landings. I also received training for crosswind landings with an eight knot crosswind. In total I had five landing during dual instruction. I then returned to the FBO and flew solo for .7 hours. This included normal preflight procedures, taxi, and run up. I then practiced seven landings, mixing in short/soft field takeoffs and landings. I returned to the airport and finished with the typical shutdown and securing procedures.
